Flexible Edits

Before Adjustment Layer
Title: Long Way To Go: 9/25/010 12:21pm, Location: BYU-Idaho Orchard, F-Stop: f/8.0, Shutter Speed: 1/60, Camera: SONY DSC-H7 Digital Camera. Some edits were made after, I used adjustment layer to mask the ground as you can see from the before picture. This shot was taken with me laying on the ground. I love how it comes to point in the middle.
Before Smart Filter
Title: Looking Glass: 9/25/010 12:24pm, Location: BYU-Idaho Orchard, F-Stop: f/5.6, Shutter Speed: 1/1250, Camera: SONY DSC-H7 Digital Camera. Some edits were made after, I copied the original so i had two layer and then used the distorted glass filter to get this effect.  I then used a layer mask with a opacity of 20% in the middle to bring back some of the original picture.  This was taken in a cover arch way that had a roof on top.  I laid the camera down and then pointed toward the sky.

  1. I like how your edits were very soft and subtle. Sometimes people get carried away with what is available to them.

  2. Your adjustment layer edit looks great. Nice work with that one. It is kind of hard to see the filter, but I think that often happens with small images on computers. Great color and composition though!

  4. The adjustment layer on the first photo really improved the picture. I think it is a perfect example of what adjustment layers can do for a picture.

  5. It's cool how you can bring out so much in a picture using adjustment layers like you did in the first one.
